I, Nick Tsagaris retired 4 months back from my 29-year career as a motivational speaker. Being a motivational speaker is a challenging job in itself. It involves speaking up your life experiences to inspire, inform, motivate and benefit the listeners. However, I enjoyed every moment of my job because it has given me more than I had expected. My colleagues were great and very cooperative. During my tenure, they people left no stone unturned to strengthen my weakened skills. Even my superiors were always there to hold my hand every step of the way.
I wanted to spend some more years of my life with those supportive and cooperative people who had become such an integral part of my life. But, then I realized that I was missing something more important, my family and kids. Retirement was the best opportunity to spend quality time with the family and to do all the things on the list I wanted but was too busy to do, so I applied for the retirement.
Truly speaking my retirement day was one of the best days of my life. I had never imagined such an awesome retirement party. I was invited to Grand Hyatt and was extremely grateful to my colleagues for arranging me a beautiful retirement party. You won’t believe that world’s top food chains including Chick-Fil-A, Dunkin Donuts, Taco Bell and McDonald’s were there at the party, offering their delicacies to the invitees. I felt overwhelmed by the love and respect I have got from my colleagues on that special day.
Now I am living a comfortable life and enjoying each day doing those things that I always wanted to be doing. It took a lot of time and effort to be here, but this is what I actually wanted.
